NMS principal

To The Families of The Nippersink School District,

It is my pleasure to introduce Mr. Scott Whipple as the next Principal of Nippersink Middle School.  The Board of Education unanimously approved the hiring of Mr. Whipple at their April 28th Meeting. Mr. Whipple will be replacing Tim Molitor who is retiring at the close of the 2020-21 academic school year.  Although Mr. Whipple’s first official day is July 1, 2021, he has already begun working with Mr. Molitor to ensure a smooth transition.

Mr. Whipple was selected from a pool of over 20 highly qualified candidates.  Following the initial screening process, interviews were conducted by a team that included District and building administrators, teachers, and members of the Board of Education. At the conclusion of those interviews, it was clear Mr. Whipple possessed a collaborative leadership style that would continue to support District 2’s mission of meeting the diverse needs of all students.

Mr. Whipple comes to the Nippersink School District from Big Hollow Middle School,  where he has served as Principal since 2016. From 2011-2015, he also served as the Assistant Principal at Neal Math and Science Academy in the North Chicago Community School District.

Mr. Whipple received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Health Education from St. Cloud State University and his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.

Mr. Whipple is looking forward to continuing to grow a positive school culture while addressing the needs of all students and staff as we move forward in a post-COVID environment.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tom Lind

Superintendent of Schools
