HALLOWEEN PARTIES THURSDAY OCT 31: Parade will begin at 2:15. Several classes have children with food related health concerns (diabetes and severe food allergies). For this reason, pencils, stickers and non-food items are good choices in lieu of class treats. If treast are brought into the classroom, the items must contain a nutrition label indicating the ingredients and nutrition facts.
No homemade treats with be allowed. Healthy snacks, such as fruits and vegetables, are encouraged, although they obviously do not contain labels. If a specific classroom is designated as “peanut free”, no peanut, peanut products or peanut oils will allowed in the classroom setting. In addition, no products with labels stating “processed in a facility or on equipment with nuts/peanuts” will be brought into “peanut free” classes. Each class has different health concerns related to food and some allergies can be life threatening. Therefore, ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE NURSE OR CHILD’S TEACHER BEFORE BRINGING IN ANY TREATS.
DONUTS WITH DUDES NOV 8: RGS students are invited to bring a dude (dad, grandpa, uncle, other special male) with them to enjoy a donut before school on November 8th between 7:45-8:30.
