Mission Possible Camp

Dear Nippersink Families,

I am very excited for our upcoming camp starting next week on Tuesday, August 2nd and running until August 4th. Camp will be from 8:45-11:30.

Couple of reminders for Camp.

If you are dropping off or picking up your child for camp: Please use South Street to access our back parking lot. Please do not use the front of the building because we will have our buses lined up for our bus riders. Drop off will begin at 8:30, please do NOT drop your child off before then. We will dismiss students at 11:30 each day.

Those who requested transportation. Please use the Transvera Ride 360 App to find your bus stop and routes for camp.. If you do not have this app please see the following directions on how to-download which is located on our website as well. If you need assistance, please contact transportation at 815.678.2232 on Monday. If you have questions you can also email Kim Karaszewski at kkaraszewski@rbchs.com

School Supply List- If you would like to send your child with school supplies to camp, the best day to do this would be on Tuesday, August 2nd. They will not need the supplies for camp, so if they do not bring them to camp, that is perfectly fine. We will have our Locker Day on August 12th from 8:30-3:30 for families and students to put all school supplies in lockers.

What to bring and to wear?  Wear comfortable clothes with shoes. Students will be moving around and active. I would suggest shoes or sandals (provided they stay on your child's feet). Please avoid flip flops, or slides. In addition, your child can bring a water bottle. Preferably one with a lid and not a squirt bottle.

Reminder of other important information

6th Grade Dental Exams

The state requires all 6th grade students to have a dental exam on file prior to the start of the school year. Parents can find these forms on the school website

A Physical Exam completed by a physician (6th grade only) physician assistant or nurse practitioner within one  year of the school year. The diabetic screening portion of the form must be completed by the examining  professional as well as the health history portion located on the back side of the form. The form then needs to be  completed and signed by the parent or guardian. The “Certificate of Child Health Examination” form can be  found on the NMS website under Menu/Registration/Forms/Medical. PLEASE NOTE, ONLY THIS FORM IS  ACCEPTABLE. PLEASE BRING THIS TO YOUR PROVIDER. Per school board policy, your child may be  excluded from school if the necessary forms are not returned to the school nurse.

Immunizations must be up to date for all students. Required immunizations including proof of 2 doses of  Measles, Mumps and Rubella, 2 doses of Varicella or proof of disease (5 doses of Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus)  (and 4 doses of Polio).
