This is a reminder that we will be releasing information on Friday regarding our plan for a return to full in person education. At that time, we will also post the results of the survey from last week. This information will be posted to the website, twitter, the district Live Feed, and will also be emailed to your email address on file with the district.

Please take a minute to a take our brief survey as we look for parent and community feedback on our plan for a full return to school. For each student you have, please take an individual survey for that student. Survey results and more information regarding any full return to school will be shared with students, parents, and the community late next week.

NMSl will now be having a full day of school on Thursday, February 11. The B group of students will be in attendance on this day. Since it is a full day of school, there will now be after school clubs and activities. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

Students from Mr. Hepner's class spent the last few minutes of class enjoying the recent snow this afternoon.

We have just been informed that the McHenry County Health Department has assigned Thursday, February 11, as the required date for Nippersink District 2 employees to get their Covid-19 vaccination. In order to successfully allow enough time for the staff to participate, we will be changing our school schedule for that day. On Thursday, February 11 we will be implementing our Early Dismissal Schedule in which the NMS school day ends at 10:50 a.m. The B group of students will be in-person on this day and will participate in a full schedule of shortened classes. The school day will begin at the regular time of 7:45 a.m. and end at 10:50 a.m. There will be no after school activities or clubs on this day. Thank you for understanding!

On February 11, all D2 employees that would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccination will be able to do so. The surrounding school districts have worked with the MCDH to establish two large vaccination clinics capable of vaccinating all school employees throughout the county on February 11-12. This represents one more step forward in our fight against COVID-19.

NMS Students. Be on the look out for an email/Google Form from Mr. Luecht regarding Crowd Sourcing Yearbook Pictures. Our current theme is "Me and my Pet." Even though we are in hybrid schooling, the yearbook is still in need of pictures. Please help out by taking a picture of you and your pet(s) and uploading them to Mr. Luecht through the Google Form.

Don't forget tomorrow, Feb. 2 and Wednesday, Feb. 3 are picture days.
